ahem, if you didn't tell us, i suspect that 80 percent would not catch that spelling goof! i did something similar a few days ago as well.. i think i was in so much of a right-brained mode, that i was working in auto pilot.. i caught the goof and corrected it so that the person never knew about the mistake!

your paintings are lovely! yes, sometimes we have to eye that bull for a long time before grabbing its horns and wrestling it into submission. you did a great job!

You sure have a busy week ahead of you. Best of luck. As for post influenza blues - what a bore, I can only wish you well, hope you continue to recover. Do you cut the mattes yourself - and the framing is that all your own work? There's a nice little arrow on the left side of your painting that directs the eye in through to the other side of the screen - a clever touch! (actually as a radiologist it was difficult to write left when i would normally have said right - sides are inverted on X-rays) Tony

Sharing that lingering malaise of an illness. If it sticks around any longer I'll make it a pet and give it a name! Fortunately for me I can still play guitar when ill. May not want to, but I can. Lilabeth invited me to Sat nites events at Levitt but unfortunately I have prior commitment. FYI it's Lil's birthday Saturday so make sure to wish her a happy one. No promises but if work ends early enough Friday or I can make Sunday work I'll come by to chat you up and scare off any potential customers. Looking forward to seeing your latest work David and sharing conversation about our mutual interests.

Hi, David, great to see you are back and working again, I've been offline for a few days, internet troubles. Sounds as though you may have some post-viral syndrome, pleae recover fully, don't push yourself too hard. I like the paintings by the way; pleine air and a light touch, there's a palpable difference with studio work. Cheers, Tony

Congratulations on the Honorable Mention and the sale! I wonder if the depiction resonated with your buyer primarily because it was Proustian, or because it was symbolic in the way that old doors have of symbolizing life's entrances and exits, choices made, and choices ruled out. Or maybe he/she just recognized good art. ; )
