Last Day of the Waxahachie Paint Out, June 3, 2010

Stop, Look and Listen

The last day of painting for the Waxahachie Paint Out brought overcast skies and marvelously cool breezes.  I could have stayed all day.  Chris Toplyn joined me and we had the good fortune of meeting up with Gaylord O’Con from Dallas.  The three of us painted the entire afternoon, enjoying the cool, along with the mutual encouagement.  It’s been a great week in Waxhachie.  I’ve managed to kick out eight watercolors, and definitely feel drained from the endeavors.

This painting is very atmospheric and I love the subject matter and the clever title. The colors in the sky are very effective.

Hello David, Just found your blog and loved your Water colors. Being a wanna be artist myself, I can appreciate the talent that it takes to create images of thi quality.

I have posted posted copies of your art safely in a flash gallery on the Waxahachiedowntown.com site with a link back to your blog. We get a great deal of visitors when the Bob Phillips and paint Waxahachie events come around and I wanted to share your art with them.

I have resized the pictures of your work and no one can capture your artwork from the site.

    Sincerely,

      Charles,
I cannot thank you enough for putting my artwork out there for visitors to your site to see. Waxahachie has been a splendid, receptive town over the past three years that I have painted there, and I am happy to do anything to attract viewers and businessmen to the city. I look forward to this year’s paint-out and the Bob Phillips Texas Country Reporter festival–two real annual highlights in my artistic pursuits. Thank you again.
      David
