Great picture, textures stunning. Looks as though you have two light sources – am I right? It is an excellent idea to show the picture in evolution. Watercolour is such a beautiful medium to work in, the transparency of colour allowing the paper to show through. I haven’t used it for a while and your blog inspires me to get out the paper and paint and go for it again. Cheers! Tony

Thank you, Tony! I appreciate your response. I have three light sources, actually–two lamps and the natural light coming through my garage windows. I used to use a single source, but lately have tried to go in this direction. I am indeed addicted to the transparency of watercolor and the luminosity of the paper shining through the layers of pigment. Someone once wrote “the paper is the atmosphere in which the watercolor breathes.” I love that observation. Thanks again.
