Cloudcroft, New Mexico

The mountains are calling and I must go.

I’m still in St. Louis, waiting for Dad to improve at St. Louis University Hospital. But I woke up with my mind in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, where I sat one evening on the tailgate of Sandi’s pickup truck and watercolored this mountain vista with our dog Patches seated beside me. I long to stand in the wide open places again one day. Perhaps this summer.

I need to go into the city to visit Dad, but wanted to post this for my friends to see.
